- I have to be honest, after years of experience reviewing different technologies and testing hundreds of phones, I thought I would never be blown away by quality and feel, but the Xiaomi Mi Mix managed to really excite me and surprise me with everything. Most of you are familiar with the phone, it was released about 8 months ago and at the time was Xiaomi's halo product, more of a proof of concept than reality, but shortly after they actually decided to produce and release the phone due to the tremendous interest shown by everyone. Obviously at the time the price was crazy high and I was not going to spend close to a $1k for a phone no matter what, now half an year later and at the price of $530 for the top version 6GB ram and 256GB internal storage, I just couldn't pass. Once again, GearBest.com had the best price at the moment and jumped right into it, keep in mind that they offer DHL shipping for super low price and the shipping is literally 2 business days, outstanding!!! The first good news upon opening the box and installing my Verizon Sim card is working VoLTE, in other words, you get data and voice at the same time, no problem! This is big, at least for me and really defines if I am going to keep a phone or not, and this one is definitely a keeper. Even the fact that phone misses band 13, which is responsible for better building penetration in congested urban areas, the rest band 2 and 4 are present also the CDMA bands. The second amazing thing is the screen, I mean I wish the camera could show how great and immersive the screen is, that size 6.4'' is just incredible, before getting the phone I thought that it will huge, but putting it next to my LeMax2, they are the exact same physical size, but the screen...wow! Here we can mention the build quality as well, by far the best build quality on any phone that I ever had, period, even better looking and feeling than the S8 and S8+ which are really the top level phones. Overall an amazing piece of technology, please stay tuned for my full review, I am really going to enjoy this one! - Diseño 10. Procesador Qualcomm 821 y 6GB de RAM simplemente perfecto en cualquier circunstancia Bateria muy buena. Pantalla de gran brillo y que enamora tal como la enciendes, para nada echas de menos mayor definicion con FHD va sobrado, sorprende mucho. MIUI no es para todos pero para el que le guste estar personalizando cada parametro es simplemente genial. Ademas de una gran comunidad detras. En resumen es un terminal espectacular que enamora solo sacarlo de la caja a cualquiera que lo vea. Design 10. Qualcomm processor 821 and 6GB of RAM simply perfect under all circumstances Very good battery. - La unica pega que se le puede poner es la camara, que sin ser una mala camara, es simplemente de un gama media y no de un gama alta como este. Aun asi ticando parametros y con buena luz No es todo lo mala que muchos podrian decir. The only drawback that can be put is the camera, which without being a bad camera, is simply of a medium range and not a high end like this. Even so by setting parameters and with good light It is not all bad that many could say.
- I thought it was time to move away fro the big brands out there, namely Samsung and try something fresh and new and the Mi Mix is certainly it! It performs brilliantly and that display is a big "wow" factor, not just for the user, but everyone around asking, what the phone is. Apart from the display, no problem about hearing on phone calls - something that I was worried about at first with it's special sonic system, it works perfectly. The fingerprint unlocking system is fantastic and works 100% of the time from off in standby mode to home screen in a flash with just a touch of the finger, no switching on first. The ceramic look and feel of the phone is superb and the leather case is top quality. Battery life is great, you can easily get a few days out of it, better than a Samsung S7 The charger did come with a 2 prong US plug, but a EU converter was supplied in the box.
- Suggestion:
- Only downside (which I knew in advance) is that the phone is very aggressive in blocking pushes and app access to stuff like geolocation etc. There's quite a few steps to go through to get rid of this, but once you've done it, you'll never have to do it again. Oh and for the people that say the camera on the bottom of the front of the phone is a problem - Did you know you can just turn the phone around so it's at the top? ;-) It is not problem though being down there are all!
- I use it for 3 days now. I wanted to test it a little before reviewing it.- Wonderful design and ceramic is just amazing- Nice packaging for a great unboxing experience- Unique- Powerful, I mean very powerful!- Very easy to use. It cames with multi languages- 6.4 inches screen but the size of the phone is still reasonable- Battery life is excellent- Fingerprint scanner works perfectly- Great and unique sound with the ceramic- Great 4G speed here (Belgium). See the pic of the test to see the results!...For the price, I highly recommend it. I really love the phone. It is the best and the most beautiful I've ever seen or had.
- Suggestion:
- - Camera is quite poor. I hope Xiaomi will try to improve this- Screen and resolution are very good but not as good as Amoled screen
- The device designe is really a piece of art. The ceramic body is like a mirror. The edgeless screen is impressive, and the phone is very reactive, fast, the battery stand easily more than one day with a average use. 256 GB storage and 6 GB of RAM is the top of the top for nawadays devices :) The fingerprint sensor has a perfect accuracy and is instantly recognizing me. The phone came with MIUI 8.0.7.0 Global stable ROM, the OTA update did not find any update (this ROM version was already too old), and I could update to official MIUI 8.2.1.0 Global stable after downloading it from official Xiaomi MIUI forums. The cameras performs well as long the scene is not too dark.
- Suggestion:
- The ceramic body will easily make your fingers "zippy" and hard to correctly grab the phone. I would highly advice to use a case as the ceramic can easily break if the phone is dropped.
- I bought the phone when it was at sale with a cost of 555€ (now it's back to 718€). The phone is faster and very easy to setup. I already used the MIUI ROM on my old Note 2 and it was great then so it's now, and much better. The phone has a beatiful quality, with it's full ceramic body. The sound that comes from the phone it's loud and clear, the screen is big and bright and I have no problem with it's dimension. The phone is faster and it has many space to store things such as music, documents, games and other stuff. It's a very good phone but I think it's now for everyone: it's for geeks or people than really like technology and wants to try some new incredible stuff.
- Suggestion:
- Because of the phone construction of ceramic, it's a little bit slipper but don't worry because there's a leather phone case in the package you got (the leather is made of premium quality). The pizoelectric sensor, which is the substite of the earpiece speaker, it's good but I think not as a normale speaker. You may have to up the volume during phone calls but for it's OK. The front facing camera it's in the lower face of the phone so, if you want to take selfies, you have to rotate the phone bottom to up, but that's not a big issue. In general, it's a very good phone.
- I ordered this phone a little over a year ago and have been more than satisfied with it. I actually bought another phone but quickly went back to this one. a year later it is still able to keep up with brand new phones and the update and to MIUI 10 has made it even better. the only con I have for this phone is that the body is very fragile. just from sliding off my lap and into the floor of my car left it with nasty crack in the corner and the phone is super slippery so a case is a must. other than that this phone is awesome and well worth the money.
- Comprei para meu filho. Foi exatamente como esperado em todos os quesitos ... muito bonito, potente, leve, custo/benefício (mesmo pagando taxa de R$ 200,00) excelente. Foi uma ótima compra! Entrega em 25 dias, sem dor de cabeça, sem burocracias. Apesar de ser a minha primeira compra, estou confiante quanto à garantia e assistência técnica. O SAC é muito funcional com atendimento rápido, para tirar todas as dúvidas. Só pessoal altamente treinada com muito profissionalismo.

- "Único ponto que deixa a desejar, é a câmera"! ... palavras do filho. Se bem que ele já estava consciente do "detalhe" mas, comprou assim mesmo, porque no conjunto isso é irrelevante.
- Engana-se quem pensa que o Xiaomi Mi Mix é apenas um aparelho bonito. Ele foi criado com recursos de hardware de muita qualidade e isso já fica claro na escolha do processador: Na parte traseira, ainda há um anel de ouro 18 quilates que foram adicionados ao redor da câmera e do sensor de impressões digitais disponível apenas na versão com 6 GB de RAM. E não é só no design que me impressionou, ele se destaca, com seu hardware e tudo

- Beautiful phone. I have never seen a screen like this. Functional as well, with 4200Mah battery, this one at gearbest has a OFFICIAL MI GLOBAL ROM with Google playstore and other google apps like youtube and maps, it does not have a 3rd party cooked MI ROM as others think. 100% genuine product. It came in a completely sealed pack. Leather case quality is extremely high.

- I had one problem though, Gearbest had undervalued by shipment accidentally while shipping... I had to pay fine and penalty at customs, and Gearbest agreed their mistake and refunded me the fine and penalty charged by customs. The shipment paper work was not complete, gearbest did not include IMEI, and customs had to open the package and get the imei, DHL did all the paperwork for me. I imported it to India via DHL express. Guys, DHL is the best. Even though my shipment was under valued by gearbest and stuck at Indian customs, DHL helped me in every way to get it released from customs and DHL even got a proper duty calculated of 14% on phone, even the fine and penalty was of justifiable price. Make sure your shipment is not undervalued, and DHL will promptly get the customs duty process done. If you buy via speed post or free post, get ready for 30-40% duty. DHL is the best bet.
