I had a better quality connection, the reason being is that the clamps grip the one set of conductors make sure you wipe off the silicon on the light strip and cut just enough of the plastic housing to slide the strip UNDER the wire contacts and the two teeth to hold the wire strip in place gives it another solid connection with the other set of round gold conductors, I am going to redo the other connectors by cutting further back like I stated and I think that will fix the problem with the flickering from the first set I installed

Setup of this irrigation controller has never been easier, something I can't say from my light controller, some say the box is bulky and, you don't have to struggle with an unwieldy adapter using up several outlets
